Addie Kay is two years old today

Happy birthday Miss Addie Kay! It is such a joy to be your grandmother. You have brought increased love and joy into our family. You are such an amazing blessing to us!

I am still learning all about Addie Kay and am starting to see her personality emerge. This is what I am figuring out.

Addie enjoys music. She likes to listen to music, dance to music, play music and sing music. (Her favorite song is "Popcorn popping"). She has been "into" music, ever since she was a little baby.

Addie is tender and sensitive. She is tender with her mother when she is not feeling well. When ever someone in our family is "play wrestling" (which is quite often) Addie will scream or cry wanting them to stop. She feels the "conflict" and it hurts her soul to have to witness it. I think she even realizes no one is getting hurt, but she just does not like it AT ALL!

Addie is helpful. She really does enjoy helping her parents. I HOPE THIS LASTS!

Addie is smart. Of course, I will say this because I am her grandmother, but she has a keen intellect and is growing in knowledge every day. It's so fun to see her put words together, learn colors, match pictures, put puzzles together, learn songs, etc., Laura Lee devices all kinds of games for Addie to learn from and it is paying off.

Addie is particular. She lets you know when she or does not like something. She hates to wear her bike helmet and will not wear it. She loves watching Nemo. She does not like dolls and is afraid of them. She loves her step stool and uses it all the time. She has a favorite type of blanket and only wants that kind. She does not like to wear pants right now. She doesn't like her hair fussed with in the least. She likes to wear necklaces. It's fun to see her likes and dislikes develop.

How we love you Addie! You are our precious little granddaughter! Happy 2 year old Birthday!
